My name is Anne Walker and I am excited to be the Kindergarten Teacher this year!
We have a busy year of play, discovery and learning.
Welcome to Kindergarten!
My name is Anne Walker and I will be your child’s Kindergarten teacher this year. I have been a teacher at Fulham School for the past 13 years. This will be my third year teaching Kindergarten. I have previously taught Grade 1 and 2. I also am our school’s Learning Support Teacher and Leveled Literacy Intervention Teacher.
The Kindergarten students will be taught gym, music, library and health by Mrs. Dennison. They will join her grade 1/2 class from 12:50-2:00 every day. During this time I will be teaching Leveled Literacy Intervention for the school.
Your child will bring home an agenda every day. Please take the time to check for mail, notes from me and to sign it. This is another way you can communicate with me. Feel free to write notes to me as I will check the agendas every morning. We will start by circling the weather and drawing a face that represents the kind of day they had.
Please sign up for Remind. This is a way I can message you and you can message me about your child's education.

This month we will be learning:
December will be a shorter but very busy month. We will start our Numbers to 5 unit. We will finish the alphabet and review the letters b, d, s, j, k and t.
Over the holidays, you can reinforce these letters with your child. You could have them find those letters on different things at home or in the community. You could have them find or brainstorm things that start with those sounds. If you have internet access, you could listen to the alphabet and letter songs that I have on my teacher webpage. These are quick and easy things that you can do to help your child succeed.
We will also be partaking in Craft Day on December 13th. They will go to other classrooms to make different crafts. Have your child wear clothes that they can paint and craft in.
December 19th is our Christmas concert. The students can wear nice clothes for the concert. There is no specific clothing they need to wear.
